I found this video of Nas and Damian Marley Digiwaxx Press Conference which I thought I would put up. As its different to other I think and any hiphop fan whould want to see it. Cant wait for this album to drop. On the video previewed new tracks including “Promise Land” at the 8:00 mark. They answered strong questions given to them and it makes this album so good.
Nicki Minaj has pulled out of Rhianna Last Girl On Earth tour with Ke$ha. She put up on her twitter that she had pulled out to work on her first album. To me its a good idea as the album needs to drop but going on tour with great artist like Rhianna would help her alot. Her message she put on her twittr is below.
Bfore Nicki pulled out this video was on the internet of Rhianna announced her Last Girl On Earth tour. And said she was taking Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha for the tour.
So whats next for Nicki Minaj well its to finsh her album and tracks in he next few months coming up. Hopefully it will drop soon I cant for it. We saw her drop Massive Attack which is the video below this. That was an dope track but the video was abit crazy. Im finding it hard to find information about her first album she making but im guessing it will feature some artist on it. Maybe some of Young Money I dont know. But I cant wait for the album im looking forward for it.
As we all on albums in this post in te next few days I will drop my top 10 albums im looking forward to this year and reasons why for the choice. Also I will find information and some dates when the albums are going to drop.
Whats good people? I wanted to do a mix of a post today but I did not have the time to do it. I was going to do an album of wu-massacre album but I will do it at a other time. So I think its got to be hiphop news with latest videos etc.
Dr Dre in the video confirms the track with Jay Z ad the title for it. Its called under pressure and speaks about the dre headphones. Cant wait for this track.
Swizz Beatz is ab producer who im getting in to at the momment such a talent I feel. He makes some great beats for artist. This is an itnerview which he speaks about his new album and producing for artists in up incoming albums.
Lupe Fiasco Introduces Common At UCI. What an video.
There aint been much whats happening in Hiphop lately well today and last couple as well. Thats why featued artist post been in last couple of days on the blog. But I seen some good things to put in this post so stay tuned.
Jay Electronica x Mos Def – A Lotta Bangers Live In New Orleans I dont have to go in to much detail for this video as its two great artist doing there thing live.
Pharrell Williams – Kevin Lincoln Interview I know a lot of people know Pharrell for this clothing style and his line but I look at him in another way more. Not saying I aint in to his style and line as the yare dope. But he is a great music producer and done wonders on albums he work on. Also im a big fan of N.E.R.D which he speaks on in the interview. N*E*R*D album will be called Nothing. Wonder if Rhea is still gonna be in the mix.
Common – Syracuse University Freestyle He is one of the most under rated rappers around, this is a great freestyle and Common asked the audience to yell out a word, which would be heaven. He then proceeded to do an actual freestyle off that word.
And finally B.o.B album The Adventures of Bobby Ray which drops in a couple of months list is on the interview. Which he got features on there of Lupe Fiasco, T.I and Eminem which does not surprise me. As B.o.B is a great talent and young still so know wonder why them kind of artist are on the album.
Some of you haven't heard of him but he's been rapping for a minute. Skyzoo is a rapper from Bed Stuy in New York. He's worked with producers Jay Dilla and 9th Wonder. Check him out he's put out a lot of mixtapes and 3 albums. The best mixtape he had by far was "Corner Store Classic" and his best album was released last year "The Salvation". New York has to many emcees to even count.
I feel like doing a different type of post today so im going to do a featured artist post but on a producer. Yes one of my favs not DJ premier but PETE ROCK. He is an American record producer, DJ and rapper which shows he can do a lot of things. Pete Rock started with the legendary Marley Marl as a DJ when he was 17 in the late 80s. He was getting big at a early age and then started producing for big names. "Down With the King" for Run-DMC, and "The World Is Yours" for Nas, as well remixing singles for Jeru The Damaja ("You Can't Stop The Prophet"), Public Enemy ("Shut 'em Down"), and The Notorious B.I.G. ("Juicy" - the original of which was allegedly based on Rock's own demo).
Pete Rock & C. L. Smooth "They Reminisce Over You"
Pete Rock joined "Pete Rock & CL Smooth" which was a duo group of them two and Pete Rock was the DJ. They made three which drop early in the 90s. Mecca and the Soul Brother was there secodn album which is my fav and I think there best. But after they stop the duo group he was still DJin ith Marley Marl on the radio etc. He made his first album called Soul Survivor whcih he DJ and Rap on. It had many guest on it the likes of Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Black Thought, Common, Big Pun, Common etc. The album is great and its got many great artist on it as well. Pete Rock drop an instrumental album which had like 40 tracks on. He made Hip Hop Underground Soul Classics in 03 whcih had artist like Q-Tip etc.
Nas ft Pete Rock- The World Is Yours Pte Rock sings in the chorus and produces the track.
Soul Survivor II hit the stores in 2004 whcih is a classic I think from Pete Rock he done a great job with this album and got greta artist on it. Pete Rock is also the older brother and younger cousin, respectively, of rappers Grap Luva and Heavy D. Pete Rock oversaw the production of Jay Stay Paid, a posthumous album by the producer J Dilla, released June 2, 2009 on Nature Sounds. Which the late J Dilla idol was Pete Rock. To me Pete Rock is key factor in hiphop and one of th best producers of all time with premier, j dilla, rza etc.
Jay Z and Dr Dre in the studio together hopefully the track will drop soon. T.I is back we all know but I have to say THE KING IS BACK PEOPLE. T.I. gave his first interview since his release from jail last December with Trapmuzik. He says he didn’t write too much while incarcerated and reveals that his new album will be more emotionally driven than Paper Trail. Album drops August 24th. He’s baaaack.

Young Money rapper Drake's Thank Me Later album has finally received a release date and will reportedly land in retail stores this May. It's official. The most anticipated hip-hop album of the year finally has a release date. Drake's debut Thank Me Later will arrive on May 25, Rap-Up.com has learned. Drake will travel across the country performing material from the album on his first headlining trek, "The Away From Home Tour," kicking off April 9 at Penn State University, and wrapping in Houston on May 20, a few days before the record's release
The rapper recently talked about Jay-Z's "Light It Up" guest spot that will be featured on the album. "It's just me and Jay both rapping on it for an extended period of time," Drake said in an interview. "It's real rap. It's real rap. I do sing on it, but it's just on the hook -- but it's rap. It's great. The perspective, the dynamic on the track -- it's me and Jay's relationship on the song, basically. When you hear it, people will be like, 'Oh man.' That's how we are -- just the two. He definitely has guided me a lot, as far as his words and his advice. We have a real funny rapport. I always enjoy my conversations with Jay. It's good
Rolling Stone initially reported that the project would be released on an unknown date in May. Drake's LP is a reflection of how the upstart Toronto MC has become hip-hop's new leading man. "I tried to capture every great moment I've had in the last year," he says. "It's triumphant." To wit: He raps about a presumed love affair with Rihanna and his friendship with mentor Lil Wayne on "Fireworks." Drake mostly eschewed big names in favor of home-town producers (Boi-1da, Noah "40" Shebib) and a collaboration with New York indie rockers Francis and the Lights. "It's gonna be interesting," he says. "I hope it's pleasing to the ear."
I know this is mostly copy from hiphop websites but going to be a great album and there was know need for me to chance any parts. I cant wait for this. Peace people.
