Diggy Signs To Atlantic Records

Well I could have told you that one of these labels was gonna scoop him up. Knew he was going to get signed sooner or later. It's still crazy that the kid who was embarrassed to be picked up by his father at the school bus stop is spitting like he is. Well hopefully he doesn't sell out. Also yesterday was his 15th birthday. Oh yeah and because my blog is down for now I'll be posting on here until I figure it out. Below is an interview with Diggy.

Lupe Fiasco - Lasers UPDATE!

Just wanted to do a post on Lupe Fiasco new album dropping this year "Lasers". We have heard Im Beaming which is below and Lupe performed 3 songs off Lasers in Claremont, CA titled Scream, State-Run Radio, and Beautiful Lasers. Lupe also confirmed that both Neptunes are present on the track on the DJ GreenLantern radio show, claiming to be responsible for putting Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo together again on a track. I cant wait for this album im a big fan of Lupe and videos below are some tracks reported to be on the album.

CANT WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM TO DROP!

Esso

On to the next one. And by on to the next one I mean the next featured artist from Harlem. Esso is another up and coming rapper from Harlem associated with some of the same artists as Show TuFli. He caught my attention first when he dropped his mixtape "Off The Wall" paying homage to Michael Jackson's first album. He's got talent and on the mixtape he probably would have done Mike proud rocking his joints. A lot of people say that he made the mixtape just to benefit from MJ's music because of his death, but Esso says that the mixtape was done before Michael Jackson died and it was just poor timing.

New

Drake talks about Jay Z Collabo on his album "Thank Me Later" which is reported to drop in May sometime. We saw them team up on Blueprint 3 track Off That.

Nas and Damian Marley hit the stage at Emo’s for the South by Southwest music festival. The distant relatives perform “Nas Is Like”, “Strong Will Continue”, and “Made You Look.”

All of you know Zach From Team Blackout well I chat to him now again on twitter and interview him before. Which he drop a track called Waited. To me the track is dope and I enjoyed listening to it. His mixtape drops soon.

01 Waited

Everyone stay on your grind.

How High Can We Go?

Well recently we saw drake talk about how he looks up to Nas and learns from his tracks. Well now J Cole had came out and said about it. Roc Nation's J. Cole recently revealed his admiration for Nas and explained why the New York rapper has influenced his method of storytelling in songs.

In addition to Nas, Cole said he was fond of the late emcee Tupac Shakur for his writing skills. "The more lyrical rappers. I gravitate toward the classic and more lyrical rappers," he explaind in an interview. "Sometimes when I'm in the studio we spend an hour on YouTube watching old rap and freestyle. For a while there it was really lyrical and witty and was always personalized. I'm drawn toward storytellers like Nas and Tupac. I'm realizing my own work in this day is generally not something that is out there. There is a lot of talent, but they just aren't putting out what I am. The whole game is exciting but nobody in a long time has come out with the skills for lyrical writing that I am coming out with."

Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, & Jay-Z At MSG. After Swizzy recites the chorus of “On To The Next One”, Alicia and Jigga perform “Empire State of Mind” for the first time together inside the world’s famous arena. Hands up.

Eminem and Just Blaze took a break from recording to shoot hoops in the back of the studio.

Nas Holston "Top 5"

This is Nas Holston top 5 hiphop artist at this current point. I will quickly explain its the top 5 artist he hs been listening to lately and there will be reasons why they are in his top 5. Its an idea like allhiphop.com top 5 but change abit. I will be asking more people for there top 5 so keep on the look out. Lets kick if off.
J. Cole is probably my favorite out of the group. His features on songs seem to be when he is at his best. Still listening to The Warm Up and The Come Up. Need that album to drop.

Curren$y is another rapper I've been listening a lot. He's very consistent with his music. It seems like I never hear a bad Curren$y. When you first listen to him you think he's not a very lyrical rapper. But when you get used to his flow you release his wordplay is crazy

I've been zoning out to Blu lately. In my opinion he's one of the most underrated rappers out now. Listening to all of his mixtapes as of now. People say that his music is boring. But if you pay attention then it's genius.

Drake is the hottest rapper out right now. Last year he probably was one of my favorites but I feel like he's gone down since he signed with Young Money. Still one of my favorites with the new album coming out. But I'm a big fan of his old music.

Big Sean is another one of my favorite rappers. He spits punchline after punchline in his songs. The only problem with him is that he doesn't have enough music.

Show TuFli

Show TuFli is an up and coming rapper from Harlem. He is most known for being put out by Charles Hamilton. One thing I respect about this new dude is that he strives to be different. Nowadays we all know that most rappers songs sound all the same. Especially if you only listen to the radio. I don't know if this dude will be big. But he definitely has talent. Oh yeah and I'm running out of rappers for the featured artists posts. You might start seeing me post rappers who are not so good.
