Jay Z on New Album ?

Beanie Sigel - Disses Jay-Z & T.I.
To me it is very pointless as Jay Z wont do nothing back as he feels he does not need to as he done nothing wrong. And T.I just came out of jail a couple months ago and working on his new album.

Lil Wayne's about to go to jail, but that's not going to stop him and his Young Money crew from putting in work. Check out the pictures from their "Roger That" video.

Here's a trailer of the project that features Jean Grae, Jay Electronica, Joell Ortiz, Mos Def, Curren$y, Jim Jones and more. The project is dropping in Spring.

AZ - So Underrated?

AZ is a rapper from Brooklyn, New York and he has been a long time rhyme partner of Nas. Also he was in The Firm alongside Nas and Foxy Brown. AZ first came in to the hiphop world on a track called "Life's a Bitch" in 1994 which it is Nas track. He was the only guest emcee to appear on Nas first album illmatic. This led to Doe or Die which is first first album which drop in 1995 and it had Nas on a few tracks. I really like the album as it got it own style to others.

Then more albums came from AZ Pieces of a Man (1998,)9 Lives (2001)and Aziatic (2002). In these albums they had guests like Nas, Foxy Brown, Nature, RZA, Beanie Seal etc. A single from the album, "The Essence," (featuring Nas) was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.

Then we saw an album called A.W.O.L which had some hard tracks on. Then his five album was called The Format which had a track called The Format produced by DJ Premier. It sampled "Survival of the Fittest" by Mobb Deep, "Pt. 2" by Method Man & Redman, "This Side of Forever" by Roberta Flack all on the track. AZ last album was Undeniable in 2008 and it was a very solid album I thought.

As of October 2009, he is working on his 8th studio album titled Doe or Die 2 to be released in early 2010. He hopes to enlist the original production team to Doe Or Die such as L.E.S., Pete Rock, DR Period & Buckwild. He has even confirmed a couple of tracks with Pete Rock, including "Rather Unique Part II". AZ also has ambitions on trying to nab beats from DJ Toomp, Dr. Dre & Kanye West for DOD2 including reaching out to his old rhyme partner Nas, also according to his Twitter he has requested a beat from RZA as well and plans on releasing the album by May or June 2010.

Peace.

Big L & Nas The Influnce On Hip Hop

I was just on youtube and found this video, it had to go up on the blog. Some of the stuff on the video I never knew and you lot need to see it. We know its been 11 years since Big L passed away. But Big L and Nas both signed to columbia records in 1992. So they knew each other but why never a track with each other. The video below tells you everything about it and why they did not.

Peace

Fly.Union

I guess Bren gives the old school rap posts. And I get you new school rap posts. Well if you liked Curren$y these dudes are similar. Fly.Union is a rap group from Ohio. The group consists of  Jerreau on the mic and Iye and Jay Swifaa with the production. The group used to have 4 members. I think that this group has a lot of potential. I like their music you should check it out.

Big L - 11 Years On

Late rapper Big L as today marks the 11th anniversary of his passing. To me Big L is one of the best of all time his skill on his music was out of this world. He died at such a young age at 24 he had so much more to give to hiphop. Its very sad that he shot. He made two album which both are crazy I love them both. We know he made a lot of music which has been unheard so hopefully an album of it will be out in next couple of years. I heard DJ Premier was going to do a album of his music soon.

Check out some Big L footage down below:

Big L Interview in 98 shows what he was like and he freestyles.

Big L - How Will I make it
"A dope track from the legend"

Happy Valentine's Day Bloggers.

So I wanted to do a different type of post today on the blog. So I am going to do one for the female readers. It is going to be on some great female hiphop artist.
I am going to start it of with Foxy Brown.

She been around for some time now since the 1996 and her first hiphop album was Ill Na Na which had Jay Z on a track. It was a very strong album and her second album to me was better. It was called Chyna Doll it drop in 1999. And since then she made drop 3 more albums. She joined a hiphop group called "The firm" which only drop one album in 1997 called "The Album". the group had Nas, AZ, Foxy, Cormega and Nature. The video below is Foxy Brown - OH Yeah. It is a mad track.

LiL Kim is an female rapper who began her music in a group called "Junior M.A.F.I.A" . She made four albums and her first was her best and it was called - Hard Core. I like her style and the way she raps. Some people might disagree with me. Also LiL Kim was know for her relationship with biggie smalls. Video below is Lim Kim ft PufF Daddy(diddy) - No Time Explicit

MC Lyte is a very well know hiphop female artist she been around since 1988. Dropping her first album Lyte as a Rock. And she has made 9 albums and some have been very good. She is also the cousin of young upcoming emcee Charles Hamilton. Video below is an old track from 1993 called I Go On by Mc Lyte.

Nicki Minaj we all know who she is. I had to put her in to this post as she on so many track in this last year. She is yet to drop her album which should be coming out this year. She is signed to Weezy - Young Money label. We all know what she can do. Nicki Minaj freestyle video below
