The best music news I've heard in a while. Gives me faith that this album is actually coming. It will be titled "Cole World: The Sideline Story", and is scheduled to be released on my born day September 27th.
I wasn't the biggest fan of this track when it was featured on their "Gone Fishing" mixtape. But this remix is tight.
The Cool Kids will heat up the Summer when they finally release "When Fish Ride Bicycles" on July 12th. But for now here's something new off the album featuring vocals from Mayer Hawthorne. Damn, I wish this was longer. Purchase on iTunes.

Personally, this is my favorite tape of the year so far. And will probably be at the end of the year. Frank Ocean is not like the rest of his companions in Odd Future. In my eyes he has the biggest crossover appeal. His songwriting makes this tape so special.
Download: Frank Ocean - Nostalgia, Ultra. (Mixtape)
I can't believe I'm starting this cite up again after such a long hiatus. But we're back to giving only the illest. To start the blog back I decided to post some of my favorite tapes and albums of the year so far.
What can be said about this tape. The main attraction I got from this tape was the production. It created this atmosphere that made me feel like I was drunk and high and about to fall asleep with a beautiful women next to me. The main vocals in this group are brought by Abel Tesfaye. Pure dopeness. I suggest that you listen to this classic tape intoxicated. Check it out if you haven't yet. You won't be disappointed. A couple of fan made videos after the jump.

Pharoahe Monch has teamed up with Slaughterhouse's Royce Da 5'9 and Blacksmith Records artist Jean Grae for a track called "Assassins". This song will feature of Pharoahe Monch next album W.A.R (We Are Renegrades" which comes out in stores and online on March 22nd.
Listen to the song in the video below.
Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf recently sat down with Billboard and spoke about there label's debuts.
First below is Yelawold speaking about "Radioactive" and how Eminem going to be a part of it.
“I saw Em at the party for his [Lipton] Brisk Super Bowl commercial,” Yelawolf says. “I was sitting with him and was like, ‘Hey man, I did an album.’ ‘You did an album? I want to hear it.’ The next day we got up in the studio and he was hyped, man. But of course we’re going to get back in the studio and he’s gonna produce some stuff, touch some stuff up.”Yelawolf says he won’t “spill the beans” about what kind of touch-ups will be done to the album, but he describes the set, recording in Las Vegas, as “more organic than ‘Trunk Muzik.’ It’s still raw in a way and still keeping the core there, but it’s less regional and more worldwide sounding. It just feels bigger.”
Then Slaughterhouse spoke there next album and how Eminem going to be a part of it. Read below.
And Eminem, according to Royce, is “very involved” in the Slaughterhouse project. “He’s very excited,” Royce notes, “and I’m always excited when I see his level of excitement, because he doesn’t get excited about a lot. I love seeing him happy, and this project definitely makes him happy.” But, he adds, Slaughterhouse doesn’t plan to rush the album, either.

Diggy Simmons, Lil Twist, YG and Mac Miller are all featured in part one of XXL Freshman 2011 Cypher. Make sure your on the look out for the other parts which will include other artists from this year XXL list.
Found this video at HRS which does a lot of posts on younger artists.
Levi "Mega Man Music" video is on the Internet now which you watch above this. He also edited it himself he is a talent without a doubt. On the side note Levi tweeted He is ready to finish his next project which will be called "Before The Future".
Are You Ready For Before The Future?
Lupe Fiasco longley awaited album "Lasers" after a number of set backs for the last year or so the album is finally out to buy and download. I recommend to any one to buy this album I have not heard any thing like it for a while. Ive Seen some reviews which people have given it criticism which I don't understand why. It might not be better than his other album which are incredible lyrically especially. To me Lupe has got three great albums now and you could argue some are classics. Both singles of the album "The Show Goes On" and "Words I Never Said" are two of best songs of the year so far I have to say. My favourite song on the album is "All Black Everything". This was just a quick post to say what I thought of the album.
XXL 2011 Freshman speak about there experiences and more. It is only the first part of three but the other two parts are not on the Internet yet. So will have to wait till they appear on the Internet but I expect it to be soon.
Freshman List contains - Big K.R.I.T., CyHi The Prynce, Diggy Simmons, Fred the Godson, Kendrick Lamar, Lil B, Lil Twist, Mac Miller, Meek Mill, Yelawolf, YG.
Some I agree should be on the list and others I don't feel should but that's for another post soon. I expect Nas to write about the freshman list soon and give his opinion about it as well.
Lupe Fiasco third album "Lasers" will be able to buy from Itunes and shops on March 8. After months of Lupe Fiasco and his label having problems and issues over the album and its release date its nearly finally here. Many people are looking forward to the album as its been a couple of years since his last. One of the best hip-hop artists in music you have to say Lupe is and he is very genuine. Which I mean by he not like any other artists he does not try and copy people how some artists do. Being a lyical genius not many people mention it and his songs always have a story to them. The singles so far of the album are "The Show Goes On" and "Words I Never Say" which both have been great to listen to. Another thing I like about Lupe he works with the artists and producers he wants to, does not matter who they are more about there talent. With Lupe already working on his next album will it be under the same label? I personally think he would suit G.O.O.D music Kanye label but thats just my thought or he could make up his own label and work from there. Just make sure you all get Lasers on March 8!

If your like me then your probably still bumping "K.I.D.S" from time to time. So I figured with the upcoming release of his newest mixtape "Best Day Ever" that I'd throw up the tracks he's dropped from the tape so far in case you missed them.

WTF. YG, Lil B, Fred The Godson & Lil Twist are all terrible. I can honestly say I'm better than all of them. XXL is really jacked up the list year. '09's list was classic. Last years was good. But this year's is by far the worst. I mean Diggy, Yelawolf, Big K.R.I.T and Mac are all alright. The only one's that are nice are Kendrick Lamar, Cyhi & Meek Mill (finally getting some recognition). Oh yeah and I gotta shout out rappers who were left of the list XV (again), Vado, Emilio Rojas, Chip Tha Ripper and Dom Kennedy.
By the way where the hell is Brenn at. I guess I'm gonna have to take over the blogging for this blog. Cause I want it to stay up.

I'm personally sorry if I made your ears bleed by posting these three terrible tracks. I mean listening to these songs make you really appreciate Shaq, Nick Cannon and Ron Artest. I actually was a little out of it after getting through these songs. I just thought it would be funny if I posted a couple of these.
Soulja Boy & Lil B - Swag OD
I could of picked from a number of Soulja Boy or Lil B songs but when I heard this one I just felt a little dumber. I don't even know if there pronouncing words on this joint. The only thing in this video that isn't terrible is that car that they're ridding in honestly.
Eminem - Fack
Now Eminem has got to be in anyone's Top 10 for greatest all time rappers. But that doesn't mean he can't put out a wack joint or two. And this song is beyond wack. I really had trouble even getting through. I wonder what drugs he was on when he made this because he literally sounds like Cartman from South Park on this. Terrible.
Samwell - What What (In The Butt)
This last one is actually kinda funny. Really gay but slightly funny. Terrible.

J Cole who is currently touring Europe with Drake as last night they performed in Germany. Also Ms. Fenty latest single is "S&M" of her album Loud and it will be the four single of the album so far. January 25 the single is going to be released and expect a video for it some when. On another note I would like to see a Cole and RiRi track.
Dr Dre a long awited album "Detox" is expected to come out some when this year but now there might be a release date for it. Hip-Hop producer Just Blaze tweeted a video of him and Dre. Which Dre said "4/20, baby 4/20, im coming". So does this mean April 20 will be the day Detox finally comes out we will have to wait and see. The whole music world has been waiting to hear "Detox" but the first single leaked and a video came out which was called "Krush". Then another leaked which featured Eminem "I Need A Doctor" which is expected to be on Detox and rumored a video coming soon for it.D

Drake spoke to SoulCultureTv he got asked whats his favourite verse so far in his career. Which he said its from a song called "The Calm" which is from the mixtape So Far Gone. Which his next album is going to be called Take Care which is expected to come out in a few months.
Today is the late R&B singer Aaliyah birthday which made me want to do a post about her. Im sure most of you know her and heard her music before. In 2001 sadly she was involved in a plain crash which she died in. A very respected singer in the muisc industy so it was tragic news to all when it happened. She was so young as well and had so much in front of her as well. Her music and albums are have sold millions around the world. She labelled "The Princess Of R&B".
Which one hip-hop artist J Cole recalls making a beat called Aaliyah she after he heard she died. He also went on to say he had a crush on the singer. Which he says he made the beat to show his sign of respect to her in his own little way.
Rest in peace Aaliyah.

Nicki Minaj will perform on Saturday Night Live on January 29th. No word on the song she will perform on SNL. It will most likely be more than one song as normally most music artists on there perform two or three songs on the show. With the next video from Nicki Minaj will be "Moment 4 Life" which features Drake which we have a preview of the video. Then she is already started filming the video for her next single which is expected to be "Fly" which features Rihanna as they tweeted a picture of them on the set of it.
On the sidenote Nicki Minaj has denied that she is not living with Rihanna after rumors said were on the internet. Rumors started as they tweeted the picture of each other on the set of "Fly". Below is what she told MTV about the rumor.
"I don't know where people got this really insane, hilarious, random rumor that she and I were living together," Minaj explained in an interview. "We just shot the video for a song I have on the album I have called 'Fly,' and when I saw her, the first thing I said was, 'So, did you hear we're living together?' and we just started cracking up laughing. She was like, 'Yo, I can't believe that people are, like, this ridiculous. So we Twit-Pic'd ourselves, and she put it on Twitter and said 'Me and Nicki at our new pad' or something. The funny thing is, people didn't realize we were joking. People still were hitting me like, 'Oh my God, you're so lucky. You and Rihanna living together?' It was like, 'What?' It's like, you can't even be sarcastic anymore. It was hilarious, though...No, we're not getting cozy. I mean, we're not getting cozy yet. I mean, there is a possibility 'cause she's just like a bad b*tch. So you just never know!" (MTV)More information the Young Money artist said about shooting the video "Fly" and Rihanna. Which she talked about it to E Online. Its all below and it did make me laugh what she said.
"We're shooting the video with Rihanna for 'Fly' this weekend," Minaj said in an interview last Friday. "We're going to save the world in more ways than one with the video and that's all I can say about that... I love Ri-Ri! I mean, when she's not grabbing my a** [at the American Music Awards] she's a sweet girl...I like everyone. I don't listen to music based on genre. Like, I'll hear a song and then I'll live for that song for like months and I'll be like, 'Who the h*ll is that?' I listen to Taylor Swift. I like Coldplay. I listen to gospel a lot. I listen to anything that's just beautiful music." (E! Online)
After the announcement of Slaughterhouse signing to Eminem label Shady Records. Three members of the group have spoke about joining the label and talked about the next album. So what did the members say and what can expect? Royce Da 5'9 said Eminem wants Slaughterhouse to do what they done with there first LP. He also went on to say getting Dr Dre production would be an honor and definitely someone they want to wrok with. The goal is to put the album out somewhen this year and they will have more time to work on it. As there first album they only worked six days on it so think what a few months would be like.
Crooked I said its good for hip-hop as a whole as its got four members from all different places. Then went on to say about the West Coast saying its good for it. How Slaughterhouse was formed and this deal will get there music more on the radio. One of the main things he said the group are going to come with the same style as before which is lyrical ability of the four members. Joe Budden interview with RealTalkNY about the deal he said what the group was passionate about and it was say with thing Eminem was passionate about. Went on to say this album will have a bigger budget for it and how Eminem is very passionate was the group and signing them. He said its going to be very competitive which you have to agree as in Slaughterhouse you got four lyrical artists then when they do a song with Eminem, there all wanting to have the best verse.
There has not been a interview yet with Joell Ortiz about signing to Eminem label or with the other signing Yelawolf. The label still has Eminem's group D-12 who have been working on a new album together still no date for it though. 50 Cent is also still on it who been working and writting on his new album since last year which is expected to come out this year. Another artist Cashis is still on the label and Slim Da Mobster who signed to Dr Dre label as well.
What is happening to female hip-hop artists? After hearing some new music from Foxy Brown and Lil Kim in recent days I just want to know whats going on. Foxy Brown song was a dissed towards Lil Kim which you hear here. What is the point of this song its harming her career you cant even hear what she saying that well. Then after the Kim song "Black Friday" which was meant to be a diss to Nicki Minaj which was awful. Why are they making songs like this its ruining there past success? Both have been the biggest female hip-hop artists at one point in there career. But that was then this is now.
I just want to see a Lauryn Hill come back just think what it would do it hip-hop it make artists have to raise there game. After she headline Rock The Bells last year people were saying she going to return. Then some unreleased music from her hit the internet which no one knew where it came from. Look at another female artist Jean Grae she very talented and never disapoints in her music. There are a few female hip-hop artists out there its justs a lack of recession as not many are hitting the main stream.
Hopefully we will see some underground female artists breakthrough or something. Its lacking at this current time as all the attention is on Nicki Minaj at the moment which I say she deserves it. After getting signed to Young Money she has risen to the top of hip-hop which you cant argue. When I say top of hip-hop last year she was one of the hottest artists of winning awards, breaking records for records sales, number one songs in the music charts and many more.
Nicki Minaj latest collaboration with fellow label artist Drake "Moment 4 Life" of her debut album Pink Friday. A preview of the video for the song is now here. Expect the full video to come soon maybe in a few weeks. And she was shooting a video with Rihanna as we saw the picture of the two a few days ago.

Diggy Simmons recently spoke to Sway from MTV which you can see the video below. Diggy said hip-hop not just a hobby to him, which you got agree with as they way he is going at his age he is going to get bigger in the industy. After three succesful mixtapes so far he ready to make the mark with his debut album some when this year thats why MTV has put him in there 11 for 11. Another thing he said was "A Breath Of Fresh Air" for hip-hop. Have a feeling this is going to be a big year for him.

With Lupe Fiasco third album coming out this year in March its called "Lasers". After all the problems with Atlantic Records over the album it caused problems and delays. In just under two months the album will be able to buy in stores and online. With some news on the up coming album it will have 12 tracks on the album. The first single of the album was "The Show Goes On" which came out last year and there is a video for the single. This album is one of the biggest anticipated albums of the year.
The next single off the album will be "Words I Never Said" which will be produced by Alex Da Kid. Another song which will be on Lasers is called "All Black Everything" this is meant to be one of Lupe Fiasco favorite songs. Which one feature on the album will an artist called Sway and its called "Break The Chains". The next single is going to get people talking and very controversial. Some of the producers Lupe has worked with on the album are The Neptunes, Kane Beatz, Soundtrakk and The Buchanans.
With Lupe Fiasco working on his next album which will come out after "Lasers". Hopefully it will come out late this year but could depend if Lupe still with his current label then. The title of it will be something like Food & Liquor II : Great American Rap Album or just one of the two I think.
