I was just on twitter and saw something interesting so I have made a post out of it. It was about freestyles over "A Star Is Born" which was the song of Jay-Z 2009 album "Blueprint 3" which featured J Cole in the song. Here two freestyle over it one from Diggy Simmons and other from Levi. Who do you think done better?

Eminem discusses The Red Bull EmSee Battle Series.
Saw this on Nas blog and I agree Em is so true. Eminem speaks on the art of hip hop battles and how he came up in the underground scene. Just Blaze, Craig G and Alchemist will be judging the battle; which goes down on June 21st. And just because… hit the jump for Em’s epic 6-round battle with Juice that went down at Scribblejam in 1997.
First just wanted to say shout out to MalibuMara for making me this dope new header above and her blog is in the blog-roll list on the blog. Not much happening in hip-hop today unfortunately so I thought I would still drop a quick post.
New Nas interview with bonnaroo.com and he speaks about Distant Relatives, illmatic book and working with Beastie Boys last year.
I found this interesting its the Jay-Z front cover for rollingstone magazine and there piece of his interview in it. Which he speaks about hip-hop age and Blueprint 3 which was his album last year. “One of the reasons I wanted to make Blueprint 3 was because of the challenge,” Jay told the magazine in a cover story out this week. “We’ve seen people like LL [Cool J] have longevity, and we respect the heritage of what he’s done, but it’s not like, right now, he’s competing on the same level as Lil Wayne. So for me to still be able to compete at that level at my age, that’s rarefied air. It’s never been done. I think the problem with people, as they start to mature, they say, ‘Rap is a young man’s game,’ and they keep trying to make young songs. But you don’t know the slang — it changes every day. You can visit the topic, but these young kids live it every day, and you’re just visiting. So you’re trying to be something you’re not, and the audience doesn’t buy into that. And people wonder why. ‘I made a great Southern bounce song!’ You’re from New York, and you’re 70! Why are you bouncing?”
Drake Freestyle On Tim Westwood and hears the video. Drake done it on Thursday evening and did not use a beat to go over with. And a lot of people noticing and saying he did not use a blackberry to read off like he did in the Funkmaster flex one.
Eminem, Royce Da 5’9″ and Mr. Porter Freestyle On Tim Westwood.
Eminem Tim Westwood Freestyle 2010 Its a hard freestyle as Eminem does what he does on it and kills it like normally. Mr Porter done ok im not his biggest fan. And Royce showed what he can do and done better than I thought he would on it.
New Eminem - Despicable Freestyle the beats he uses are Beat "Drake - Over" And "Lloyd Banks - Beamer Benz Or Bentley". Eminem is back to his best well to me he is better than he ever been. Since he done features in Drop The World and Forever I knew he was getting back to his best. But when he was on airplanes 2 - b.o.b I thought he killed and now hearing this freestyle. Eminem is the best in the world at his current time. HANDS DOWN TO IT. you agree?
Also I heard this new track from Nas and Damian Marley Ft. Knaan “Africa Must Wake Up”. Im feeling this one I cant wait for the album to drop next month.
Nas Edit: J. Cole drops his first official single from his upcoming album Cole World. In my opinion this track is great.
Ok so I'm always surfing the net for random freestyles. It just so happens that I was just in a freestyle battle. Didn't go well for it was my first battle. In this first video is a classic freestyle between Eminem and Juice. 6 rounds is crazy. I actually think Em won the battle.
In this second video it's a quick freestyle between Jay and DMX. I gotta say that DMX did better.
In this last video here's two dudes you've probably never heard of but trust me this freestyle battle is crazy. Their names are DNA & Rone. Rone is one of the funniest rappers I've ever heard definitely got his style from Em. But in the end DNA with the punchlines.
I wanted to do a post on freestyles and show you lot some dope ones. Freestyle is very important in hiphop and artists. Its how hiphop formed from freestyle battles in the 1970s in parks etc. If an artist can freestyle it shows they can be quick with words and got flow. This just some of my favourite freestyles. Im not going to put my favourite on up as its Big & Jay Z 1992 I put up many times before. But here are some.
Yo! MTV Raps - Last Episode Freestyle Part 1 feat. Rakim, KRS-ONE, Erick Sermon, Chubb Rock & Mc Serch. "OLD SKL"
I was on youtube and found this video of Will Smith ( Fresh Prince) doing a freestyle to "How We Do". He done it in 2005 so its old but shows he still got it. Tell what you think of it. Peace
Okay so I'm on my off day of school decided to do what I do when I'm bored and thats look up freestyles. Found some of these I like the Charles freestyle and Slaughterhouse jawn they ripped it. I didn't know Asher Roth was from around philly.

Everyone has listen to Lil Wayne a millie and about every artist in the book has done a remix or a freestyle. But the Jay Z one I just found is HOT. Its the best remix I heard yet.
