J. Cole Titles Album "Cole World: The Sideline Story"

The best music news I've heard in a while. Gives me faith that this album is actually coming. It will be titled "Cole World: The Sideline Story", and is scheduled to be released on my born day September 27th.

WTF. YG, Lil B, Fred The Godson & Lil Twist are all terrible. I can honestly say I'm better than all of them. XXL is really jacked up the list year. '09's list was classic. Last years was good. But this year's is by far the worst. I mean Diggy, Yelawolf, Big K.R.I.T and Mac are all alright. The only one's that are nice are Kendrick Lamar, Cyhi & Meek Mill (finally getting some recognition). Oh yeah and I gotta shout out rappers who were left of the list XV (again), Vado, Emilio Rojas, Chip Tha Ripper and Dom Kennedy.


By the way where the hell is Brenn at. I guess I'm gonna have to take over the blogging for this blog. Cause I want it to stay up.

I guess we can all say that Kanye's video's are always interesting. Video looks crazy with all the dead chicks in it. In other news it turns out Nicki's song "Roman's Revenge" was not a diss towards Lil Kim. It was a diss at Lil Mama.

Nas, Jay Z Interviews and Drake Freestyle

First just wanted to say shout out to MalibuMara for making me this dope new header above and her blog is in the blog-roll list on the blog. Not much happening in hip-hop today unfortunately so I thought I would still drop a quick post.

New Nas interview with bonnaroo.com and he speaks about Distant Relatives, illmatic book and working with Beastie Boys last year.


I found this interesting its the Jay-Z front cover for rollingstone magazine and there piece of his interview in it. Which he speaks about hip-hop age and Blueprint 3 which was his album last year.

“One of the reasons I wanted to make Blueprint 3 was because of the challenge,” Jay told the magazine in a cover story out this week. “We’ve seen people like LL [Cool J] have longevity, and we respect the heritage of what he’s done, but it’s not like, right now, he’s competing on the same level as Lil Wayne. So for me to still be able to compete at that level at my age, that’s rarefied air. It’s never been done. I think the problem with people, as they start to mature, they say, ‘Rap is a young man’s game,’ and they keep trying to make young songs. But you don’t know the slang — it changes every day. You can visit the topic, but these young kids live it every day, and you’re just visiting. So you’re trying to be something you’re not, and the audience doesn’t buy into that. And people wonder why. ‘I made a great Southern bounce song!’ You’re from New York, and you’re 70! Why are you bouncing?”


Drake Freestyle On Tim Westwood and hears the video. Drake done it on Thursday evening and did not use a beat to go over with. And a lot of people noticing and saying he did not use a blackberry to read off like he did in the Funkmaster flex one.

It's not everyday that we get a new Jay Electronica joint. I'm loving it except for Diddy yapping all over it. I wonder if we'll ever get Act 2.





First joint off Em's new album "Recovery". Relapse was alright but Recovery sounds like it can be a classic with the serious em.



Another new joint off "Distant Relatives". This album is going to get heavy rotation on my ipod.

New Eminem - Despicable Freestyle the beats he uses are Beat "Drake - Over" And "Lloyd Banks - Beamer Benz Or Bentley". Eminem is back to his best well to me he is better than he ever been. Since he done features in Drop The World and Forever I knew he was getting back to his best. But when he was on airplanes 2 - b.o.b I thought he killed and now hearing this freestyle. Eminem is the best in the world at his current time. HANDS DOWN TO IT. you agree?


Also I heard this new track from Nas and Damian Marley Ft. Knaan “Africa Must Wake Up”. Im feeling this one I cant wait for the album to drop next month.


Nas Edit: J. Cole drops his first official single from his upcoming album Cole World. In my opinion this track is great.

The Barbie - UPDATE.

Nicki Minaj has pulled out of Rhianna Last Girl On Earth tour with Ke$ha. She put up on her twitter that she had pulled out to work on her first album. To me its a good idea as the album needs to drop but going on tour with great artist like Rhianna would help her alot. Her message she put on her twittr is below.


Bfore Nicki pulled out this video was on the internet of Rhianna announced her Last Girl On Earth tour. And said she was taking Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha for the tour.


So whats next for Nicki Minaj well its to finsh her album and tracks in he next few months coming up. Hopefully it will drop soon I cant for it. We saw her drop Massive Attack which is the video below this. That was an dope track but the video was abit crazy. Im finding it hard to find information about her first album she making but im guessing it will feature some artist on it. Maybe some of Young Money I dont know.
But I cant wait for the album im looking forward for it.


As we all on albums in this post in te next few days I will drop my top 10 albums im looking forward to this year and reasons why for the choice. Also I will find information and some dates when the albums are going to drop.

Unexpected

Whats good people? I wanted to do a mix of a post today but I did not have the time to do it. I was going to do an album of wu-massacre album but I will do it at a other time. So I think its got to be hiphop news with latest videos etc.

Dr Dre in the video confirms the track with Jay Z ad the title for it. Its called under pressure and speaks about the dre headphones. Cant wait for this track.


Swizz Beatz is ab producer who im getting in to at the momment such a talent I feel. He makes some great beats for artist. This is an itnerview which he speaks about his new album and producing for artists in up incoming albums.

Just wanted to do a post on Lupe Fiasco new album dropping this year "Lasers". We have heard Im Beaming which is below and Lupe performed 3 songs off Lasers in Claremont, CA titled Scream, State-Run Radio, and Beautiful Lasers. Lupe also confirmed that both Neptunes are present on the track on the DJ GreenLantern radio show, claiming to be responsible for putting Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo together again on a track. I cant wait for this album im a big fan of Lupe and videos below are some tracks reported to be on the album.

First let me start of with Drake I saw yesterday on the net he is doing a track with Eminem and Dr Dre for his new album Thank Me Later. He is recording the track with them this weekend in LA. But other reports saying say he is shooting "Over" music video in Los Angeles. But recording for the video began on Friday March 12.

Other news Jay-Z has opened up about Lil Wayne's surprise appearance at Madison Square Garden during his Blueprint III tour stop in New York City last week. Jay Z said below.
"It was fantastic," Jay said in an interview. "Again, any time you play the Garden is a special moment. It's special. Wayne, how that worked out, he was supposed to go away for a year. Somehow he was able to perform that last show. He came out to an incredible reaction. Then Drake, Nicki Minaj -- all on Jeezy's set, which was fantastic. Then Trey Songz and Fabolous. It's one of those magical nights at the Garden. Once again, one of those magical nights." (MTV)

Sorry For The Lateness...

So tonight or tomorrow night at midnight Drake will be releasing his first official single from his highly anticipated album "Thank Me Later". I feel like unless this will be below everyone's standard's unless it's a classic. Let's see what Drake has in store for us. Single is decent



Also T.I. will be releasing his first song since being released from prison next week. I'm actually awaiting this song a little more than Drake's because we haven't even seen T.I. since he has been released from prison. From what I've heard he's been making moves.
